conchords

When I first saw Bret and Jemaine on Just for Laughs years ago, I never thought I would hear from them again. Flash forward to today, and New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo a cappella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo is on their second season of their hilarious HBO show. There was some apprehension over a lack of material for a second season, as the majority of songs used in the first were part of their act for quite some time, but if the first two episodes are any indication, those worries should be put to rest. The Conchords are in fine form and Murray Hewitt remains incredibly funny no matter what he says.

haha the best was when Murray was living out of his car and has to move it every few hours.

i also found it hilarious that brett and jemaine had to turn to prostitution.
“how much you selling each superstraw for brett?”
“um a dollar”
“how much does it cost for each straw?”
“two fif—”

I just finished watching episode 3 too.
The supporting cast for this show is just great.
Arj Barker blows my mind.

Yesss! This show fills me with so much joy, and episode 3 combined three things I love: FOTC + Broadway + Aussie/NZ jokes.
Also, my life will never be complete until I have Bret’s “Rap Dancin” shirt in my possession.
