UPDATE: This contest is now closed.

When we first picked up on Girls early last summer, they were just a small buzz band with a killer song which no one could ignore. Then it turned out that ‘Lust for Life’ wasn’t an outlier, instead it was just the opener on a great string of songs from one of the best debut albums of last year, Album, our eighth favourite album of that year.

They seem to be touring non-stop and their next visit to Toronto will bring Christopher Owens and Chet “JR” White to the Phoenix this Friday, April 9 with Dum Dum Girls. To win two tickets to this show, send an email to contests@cavacool.com with “I wish I had a boyfriend” in the subject line and your full name in the body of the email. This contest closes April 8 at midnight.

Oh, I wish I had a suntan,
Oh, I wish I had a pizza and a bottle of wine,
Oh, I wish I had these tickets,
Then I could go to the concert on April 9.
