wrens

I’ve been waiting for something to look forward to in 2009, and I finally have it.

It has been six years since the Wrens last released an album, and when that album is as stunning as The Meadowlands, I’ve understandably been anticipating new material for quite some time. As announced from their newly renovated website, the Wrens will mark their 20th anniversary with a new single and the recording of their fourth album next week, in hopes of a late spring release. Of course, that’s hardly a solid release date, but if these dudes from New Jersey subscribe to anything, it’s the quality over quantity mentality. Their new single “Pulled Fences” is up for sale on the new site.

I. Music files are featured on this site to promote good music and are for evaluation purposes only. If you dig what you hear, buy music and go to concerts. Packaging is cool, vinyl is warm, and stationary head bobbing is a way of life. If we've spotlighted one of your songs and the internet has got you down, contact us and we'll remove it right away.
II. All written content is provided by a constantly evolving roster of music-obsessed individuals. We're always on the lookout for new writers to share what they're listening to. Let us know if you're interested.
