I’ve been meaning to check out more of Silversun Pickups, ever since Lazy Eye.
Shoegaze fits the Besnard Lakes.

This must be the lukewarm review we’ve heard about, and I agree. Disappointing after their debut.

As far as Canadian shoegaze, Mean Red Spiders are (were?) great. The Besnard Lakes could disputably fit in the category too, although it’s a bit of stretch.

Outside the City was an awesome Canadian modern rock radio hit. Since I forget my iPod a lot, my favourite modern rock radio hits of this summer/guilty pleasures are ‘Panic Switch’ by Silversun Pickups and that new song by Mother Mother, forget what it’s called though. I sing along every time.

The drums in Long Live are great. On top of that, I can’t really think of any other Canadian shoegaze band, which is kind of special.
