this is a great album. good review. angelakos is an incredible songwriter. the music is more than catchy, it is downright unbelievable. can’t get it out of our minds.

Ouch on the Bright Eyes comment… I actually sound like Ben Gibbard and Andrew Kenny’s love child. Anyway, I’ll give it to you that the music is catchy, but I can’t get through it long enough to be hooked due to the strained vocals.

james, james, james. this is a great album. you can’t say that after a couple spins those melodies don’t stick to your brain like ‘molasses on toast.’ just try to stop singing the simple “higher and higher and higher” or “oh no o o o o” under your breath all day. and the hook with the strings in “swimming in the flood.” manners shows great musical maturity and growth and angelakos is one hell-uv-a songwriter! can’t wait for bowery ballroom. just enjoy the music.

This album is possibly the most annoying thing to get such a large amount of hype ever. This guy can’t sing, at all, it’s rip your ears out bad.
