I do agree with you until the point where you say that you actually like it. I guess time will get me there, but boy I have really tried to like it and now I'm currently stuck in, I guess what you would call, the not so pleasant "vomiting-stage". Nice blog though =) Cheers! I was gonna write a bit about Merriweather but you went and did it and defs better than I could have myself! I think this band is defs ahead of their time too and that this IS the most "accessible" AC album for sure...it took me a while to get into them too but i have the five-time rule where I try it at least 5 times no matter what and by the second time I fell in love with Animal Collective. UUUUUUUGH! I loooooooooooooooove this lp so much it's ridiculous. It's has been warming my heart throughout the holidays. It is awesome. HOW GOOD IS MY GIRLS?!?!?! So good. SO so good. I can relate with you on Strawberry Jam. I liked Fireworks and For Reverend Green, but on the whole, the album was a little too chaotic. I think that's the word I'm looking for.
