It’s Blitz!, the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album is good. Really good. Easily their best, in my opinion. In fact, good enough to inspire a mix in honour of the word yeah. Yeah is more than just a simple affirmation. Consider it a state of mind. Be like Jim Carrey, say yeah to things. I haven’t seen the movie, but I assume it resulted in good things and had a happy ending. There’s my philosophy for the day. Enjoy.

i enjoyed it’z blitz. fever to tell for me is still my personal fave of yyy’s. i think it’s blitz! ties with show your bones.
i haven’t seen the jim carrey movie yes man but i heard it’s actually quite good…=)
— dona, March 12, 2009I’ve only heard the first two songs, but so far I don’t agree with the internet’s consensus that this album is awesome. It seems like they tried to make a Depeche Mode album, but ended up making a Katy Perry album. I may be wrong, I’ll check out the rest soon.

I´m inclined to agree with Dan on this one. “Zero” has grown on me, but I don´t love it the way I loved old Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It doesn´t seem as edgy.
