wrens

I’ve been waiting for something to look forward to in 2009, and I finally have it.

It has been six years since the Wrens last released an album, and when that album is as stunning as The Meadowlands, I’ve understandably been anticipating new material for quite some time. As announced from their newly renovated website, the Wrens will mark their 20th anniversary with a new single and the recording of their fourth album next week, in hopes of a late spring release. Of course, that’s hardly a solid release date, but if these dudes from New Jersey subscribe to anything, it’s the quality over quantity mentality. Their new single “Pulled Fences” is up for sale on the new site.

I. Ca Va Cool does not receive fees from third-party advertisers. However, we are shameless self-promoters, as evidenced by blatant Wikipedia manipulation and our chronic inner struggle: to twitter or not to twitter. All banners are internal to the site and promote our feature articles. All hosting fees are slowly digested by the Ca Va Cool team, who do so because making this website is too damn fun.
II. We post music files for evaluation purposes only. That's an order! The goal is to share and promote good music. If you dig what you hear, buy music and go to concerts. Packaging is cool, vinyl is warm, and stationary head bobbing is a way of life. If you hold copyright to a song we've featured and the internet has got you down, let us know and we'll remove it right away.
