The Blood Bank EP, the follow-up to Bon Iver’s pretty much unanimously adored debut LP, For Emma, Forever Ago, will be released later this month on Jagjaguwar. The EP is more of the same from the Wisconsin-based singer-songwriter, which in this case is good thing. If he keeps this consistent song craft up, he could be the next Bonnie Prince Billy, just 13 albums to go.

Also being released are albums from two of the best guitar bands that just won’t quit. The Rifles are back with The Great Escape, the follow-up to the fiery No Love Lost, and The View’s Which Bitch?, their first album since the Mercury Prize nominated Hats Off to the Buskers. The View are still on fire.

Good start to the year. Enjoi!

Beach Baby is also a great track off the EP – and I read an article which said that one of the tracks on the finished EP was going to be done using auto-tune … so hip – excited to see what he does next.

I’m not familiar with The Rifles or The Views, but both tracks are fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing.

The whole EP is streaming over at http://www.myspace.com/boniver

Babys is such a club banger.

Also, the auto-tune rumours were true.

Who did it better in ‘09?

A)Kanye
B)Bon Iver
C)T-Wayne

You decide.

Also … does The Woods not sound a WHOLE LOT like Imogen Heap?

Tough choices Sal. I’d say Kanye. But all can be indebted to this legend, Stevie Wonder.
