So, I’ve compiled two mixtapes full of songs I’ve been la-la-laaaaoooving lately. The first is for d-party fiends woop woop! The second is for when you actually feel like studying…relaxing…making origami…=) [...]

One of my faves of the year for sure, and this song, is my favorite off it. HLA brings back the retro pop, the disco beats, the instrumental dance. Let’s not forget Antony Hegarty’s voice either. The Antony of Antony and Johnsons aka the makers of the monumental album, I Am A Bird Now. It’s too bad their live shows don’t include him but with Nomi Ruiz and Kim Ann Foxman replacing the vocals, it’s not so bad. The show is intense, magnetic… you just can’t help but dance!!! Damn, Ruiz and Foxman sure can shake it too! Definitely one of my concert highlights of ‘08. Check out a fantastic remix of “Blind” by Frankie Knuckles. [...]
