Arts&Crafts is going to be releasing a recreation of Stars‘ (Website / Myspace) latest album Set Yourself on Fire with the help of other artists, all members of the Arts&Crafts social scene. Pitchfork is calling it just another remix album, but I don’t really get into remix albums and this concept sounds really cool. It’s keeping the order intact and is a “re-mixes, re-interpretations, and re-imaginings.” It’s gonna be called Do You Trust Your Friends? and is due to be released May 22. The tracklisting is below and you can check out all of the covering artists at their MySpace by clicking on their name.
- Your Ex-Lover Is Dead - Final Fantasy
- Set Yourself on Fire - Montag
- Ageless Beauty - The Most Serene Republic
- Reunion - Jason Collett
- The Big Fight - Minotaur Shock
- What I’m Trying to Say Pt. 1 - The Dears
- What I’m Trying to Say Pt. 2 - The Dears
- One More Night - Apostle of Hustle
- Sleep Tonight - Junior Boys
- The First Five Times - The Russian Futurists
- He Lied About Death - Metric
- Celebration Guns - Camouflage Nights with Kevin Drew
- Soft Revolution - The Stills
- Calendar Girl - Young Galaxy
Also, now that Amy Millan is done her solo tour supporting 2006’s Honey from the Tombs, Stars are working on their follow up to Set Yourself on Fire, which is due out in the fall.
